ARA 103 Arabic for Advanced Learners
ARA 103: Arabic for Advanced Learners (Level 1) builds upon the foundation established in ARA 101: Arabic for Beginners (Level 1) and ARA 102: Arabic for Intermediate Learners (Level 2), guiding intermediate learners toward advanced proficiency in Modern Standard Arabic (MSA). This course strengthens students’ command of complex grammar structures, advanced verb conjugations, and specialized vocabulary, enhancing their ability to communicate effectively, analyze texts critically, and produce well-structured written and oral responses. Students will engage with authentic Arabic materials, including classical and contemporary literature, media, and religious texts, deepening their linguistic proficiency while fostering cultural awareness. Emphasis is placed on mastering conditional, comparative, and passive constructions and the subjunctive and jussive moods, enabling students to express nuanced ideas with clarity and precision. A dedicated focus on Islamic Studies reinforces Arabic as a vital tool for accessing Islamic scholarship, understanding Islamic civilization, and exploring diverse cultural expressions worldwide.
